固体材料的结构决定其性质。 X射线粉末衍射法(XRD)作为一种快速便捷的分析技术非常适用于微晶材料的相鉴定和表征。 随着仪器改进和软件开发,对未知物质的晶体结构的确定变得更为可行,但对化学家和相关科学家来说,仍然是一个巨大的挑战。 这里将通过几个我们合成的含氮无机化合物作为实例,对怎样选择和设计合适的合成路线以获得更好的结晶性,及怎样通过X射线粉末衍射确定结构模型和精修晶体结构做进一步地讨论。
The structure of a solid material governs its properties. X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) as a fast and convenient analytical technique is very useful for phase identification and characterization of a microcrystalline material. With the improvement of instrument and the development of software, the determination (e.g., atom positions) of the crystal structure of unknown substances has nowadays become possible, but it is still a huge challenge for chemists and related scientists. Using several examples of our nitrogen-containing inorganic compounds, ways how to choose and design suitable synthetic routes to achieve better crystallinity, and methods to solve and refine a crystal structure by X-ray powder diffraction will be discussed.
