报告内容简介:

 In recent years, the development of various shape-memory and shape-changing materials in response to external triggers enables great potential applications. In this talk, I will first present two of my representative work on shapeshifting polymer materials. One is a cooling-triggered shapeshifting hydrogel based on double network hydrogels, which integrate a permanent network for elastic energy storage and a reversible hydrophobic network for ‘freezing’ temporary shapes under heating. Multiple temporary shapes were encoded independently at either different temperatures or different times during an isothermal process. The other one is a genetic mechanism for programming trigger-free shapeshifting based on dynamic bonds. Programmable shape-memory materials perform a sequence of encoded actuations under constant environment conditions without using an external trigger. Through strain-induced and time-dependent reorganization of the reversible hydrogen bonds, the dual network allows for encoding both the rate and pathway of shape transformations on time scales from seconds to hours. Then I will briefly talk a little about the bottlebrush polymer networks, where I will show how we can tune the mechanical properties by changing the architecture of polymer chains. 

  

报告人简介:

胡小波博士分别于2005年和2011年在中山大学和华南理工大学获得学士和博士学位。2009-2011年期间以联合培养身份访问佐治亚理工大学。2011-2013年在杜邦上海研发中心从事研发工作。2014年-至今在北卡大学教堂山分校从事博士后研究。他长期专注于智能型功能高分子材料,主要研究响应型纳米粒子的设计与应用、高力学性能水凝胶功能化以及基于洗瓶状高分子弹性体的开发与应用。已发表SCI论文20篇,包括以第一作者发表在Nature Communications、Advanced Materials、J Am Chem Soc、Macromolecules以及ACS Macro Letter等著名期刊。欧洲授权专利一项,在审中国专利及美国专利各一项。博士学位论文先后获得广东省优秀博士学位论文奖以及全国百篇优秀博士学位论文提名奖。
