Chem. Phys., Geosci. Model Dev., PNAS等国际学术期刊发表论文50余篇,现担任SCI期刊Atmos. Meas. Tech. 副编辑,和包括Nature Geoscience, Atmos. Chem. Phys., Geosci. Model Dev. 在内的多个学术期刊的审稿人。

报告内容:

The Juelich Supercomputing Centre (JSC) provides high performance computer capacity for scientists at universities and research laboratories in Germany and in Europe as well as for industrial partners. JSC activities comprises the operation and especially the development of the supercomputers and the technical infrastructure, the data storage, visualization systems, networks and software. A further important task is the user support and education. During the years 2008-2016 JSC established nine `simulation laboratories' (Simlabs) as dedicated research and support infrastructures for different scientific topics and communities, including biology, climate science, plasma physics, molecular systems, nuclear and particle physics, and others. Each Simlab is typically represented by a team of 3-5 researchers and IT experts located at JSC. Team members assist supercomputer users from their community in porting and optimizing their codes to the supercomputers operated by JSC, focusing on aspects such as performance, scalability or big data management. The team members participate in the development of community models and conduct their own research projects. This talk will provide a brief introduction to the activities of JSC and the Simlabs. It will cover the research and support activities of the Simlab `Climate Science' in more detail, including a number of recent research highlights related to atmospheric science.
